This template creates a single succession box column to be used with succession boxes.
Usage
The format is {{s-new|parameter}}, where parameter is replaced by one of the parameter names shown in the following table. The use of a parameter is optional.
- creation — Replaces "New title" with "New creation"
- party — Replaces "New title" with "New political party"
- district — Replaces "New title" with "New district"
- division — Replaces "New title" with "New division"
- constituency — Replaces "New title" with "New constituency"
- institution — Replaces "New title" with "New institution"
- seat — Replaces "New title" with "New seat"
- diocese — Replaces "New title" with "New diocese"
- loss — Replaces "New title" with "Loss of title"
- first — Replaces "New title" with "First"
Note: Only one parameter can be used in a single line of code.
In addition, the parameter, reason, may be used to designate the reason(s) for the title (or loss); enter a short explanation after entering this parameter, if necessary.
This template allows for multiple row-spans using the parameter |rows=| between the template name and the first parameter.
